Retail · Shopify

Sports retailer — design left alone, Liquid modernized, then the original contractor took the store back.

The project started elsewhere and arrived through a partner agency. Dedicated team, NDA. We did not touch the design. We refactored the Shopify theme — Liquid snippets, Online Store 2.0 sections, metafields, metaobjects — built a proper blog, hid a video-instructions page behind a customer tag, and handed it back. Page interactivity +100%. Hardcode out.

Arrived mid-flight

A partner agency brought the store. Someone else had started it. A dedicated team sat on Shopify, left the look, rewrote the logic, then gave the theme back to the original contractor. We do not name the shop.

Theme as a product, not a paste

Liquid snippets, dynamic sources, Online Store 2.0 sections. Metafields and metaobjects instead of values baked into the template. Homepage became modular. The merchant can rearrange; a developer no longer has to ship a hotfix for a new block.

  • Liquid snippets and dynamic sources
  • Online Store 2.0 sections; homepage modular
  • Metafields and metaobjects instead of hardcode
  • Hidden video-instructions page: metaobject, noindex, customer-tag / direct-link access, authenticity and warranty
  • Blog with TOC, related posts, Article / FAQ schema, internal links; YouTube API where the videos live

What we do not claim

Conversion percentages stay off this page. What the old site claimed, we keep: interactivity doubled, UX better, hardcode gone. Design was not ours to invent. The logic was ours to modernize.
